New research improves UK Government ICT GHG emissions measurement & reporting

New research conducted by Dr. Sutton-Parker and Professor Procter tests best practices in the context of the UK government when measuring scope 2 and 3 GHG emissions for end user computers. The paper shows there is considerable abatement available within the government’s computer supply chain by making more sustainable choices and retaining computers for longer periods, plus significant improvements can be made in the way electricity consumption is measured.
